John Deaville, Photographic Retoucher and Graphic Artworker, London

About me …

I have been working as a freelance photographic retoucher for over 15 years. I have worked in a range of photographic disciplines, and my experience covers fashion and beauty retouching, people and portrait retouching and packshot and product retouching. You can use the links on the left hand side to see examples and more details of each service. I usually work remotely, using my own high spec and calibrated equipment, but I can also work site if required.

For the last few years, I have worked for a small range of established clients on a regular basis, mainly working in Commercial and PR Retouching especially in the field of sports. A typical sports job would involve retouching the sports figures, applying some sort of creative ‘treatment’ to the players (contrast, colour, toning), then cutting them and applying a holding shadow to the floor. These can then be used as ‘assets’ for a number of future projects by a range of different designers. You can see examples of the work that I have done in my photographic retouching portfolio. You can also see more examples from each individual project in my Projects section.

I use a fully calibrated Macintosh system plus the Adobe Creative Cloud apps like Photoshop and Illustrator as well as other software like Cinema 4D to create creative and precision retouching work. In the past, my retouching work has been used for clients like: The Football Association, Guinness, Royal Mail, BBC, Channel 4, Molton Brown, UK Sport, England Cricket Board and others.

In addition to my regular clients, I am always interested in hearing about new projects, so if you would like to discuss a project, then please get in touch via my contact page.
